In coming up the canals of the Vosges, you cross the Vosges forest. You glide through a theatre of green through the elm trees, the ash and an impressive quantity of other essences. Fontenoy-le-Château and Epinal will open their picture books.

The canal ofthe Rhône to the Rhine from Dôle to Besançon runs along the bed of the Doubs between rocky cliffs and wooded slopes. The arrival in Besançon is impressive.

A tunnel of 394 m in length allows you to pass under the citadelle constructed by Vauban in the 17th century and to make a complete tour of the city.

Year on year, the Franc-Comtois table is a pleasant display of the succeeding seasons. Witness of the ressources of its land, the natural produce of the Franche-Comté corresponds with the geographical variety of the region.
