Châteauneuf Base

A nice life village, along the riverside, well settled on the banks of the Sarthe, at the centre of the Anjou Maine.

When arriving at Châteauneuf through the green fields of the low valley of the Maine and passing the nicely named bridge of Goeffroy Le Bel Plantagenêt, it's a picturesque village of 2408 inhabitants which welcomes you, on a gentle slope, firmly camped on the right bank of the Sarthe.

A departure that will remind you the life of the bargees during the time of the sailing boats.
Situated on the banks, the River House opens wide its doors... and maybe will you be curious enough, also, to open the doors of th Xiith century church with its superb Anjou-style vaults.
